This book is an inspiring and compelling account of the benefits of employee engagement through purpose to organizations of all types.
It is full of insights about how purpose can best be defined and exemplified and what leaders and managers need to do to embed and nurture it.
There is an excellent section on the need for managers to inspire their people and the gap between how managers rate themselves on key relevant aspects and how their employees rate them.
The book is a good flowing read with useful summaries at the end of each chapter and a myriad of persuasive and thought-provoking case studies. It is particularly strong on how an organization’s purpose and ambition can best be aligned and communicated.
Highly recommended as a how to textbook on this vital concept.
