For our next discussion, the book selected is “Capitalism without Capital: the rise of the intangible economy”, by Jonathan Haskel and Stian Westlake.  Jonathan will be joining us to discuss their book.

Jonathan Haskel is professor of economics, Imperial College Business School, and an external member Bank of England’s MPC.  ‘Capitalism without Capital’, has won many plaudits from The Economist, The Financial Times, The Guardian, etc., as one of the best economic books of 2017.    The authors argue that intangible investment is fundamentally different, and by understanding its steady growth in our economy, it helps us to appreciate some of the key issues facing us today: innovation and growth; inequality; the role of management; financial and policy reform.  The book is an excellent read and quite thought-provoking.  Please join us for a fascinating evening of discussion with Prof. Haskel.
